Maatruu Size Guide
Indian ethnic wear sizing can be confusing if you are used to US S/M/L/XL labels. This guide gives you everything you need to pick the right size for kurtis, sarees, blouses, and coord sets.

Tip: If your measurement falls between two sizes, size up. Indian kurtis and blouses run slightly slim through the bust and shoulders.
How to Measure Yourself
You only need a soft measuring tape and about three minutes. Wear thin clothing or measure over your undergarments for the most accurate numbers.
Bust: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it level and parallel to the floor. Do not pull tight.
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waistline, usually about an inch above your belly button.
Hip: Measure around the fullest part of your hips, usually about 8 inches below your waist.
Shoulder (for kurtis): Measure from the edge of one shoulder bone straight across the back to the edge of the other shoulder.
Kurti length: Measure from the highest point of your shoulder straight down to where you want the kurti to end (mid-thigh, knee, calf, or ankle).
Sizing Notes by Product Type
Kurtis and Coord Sets
Kurti sizing uses the Indian bust measurement. The kurti gives you about 2 inches of ease beyond your actual bust measurement, so a 38 inch bust fits comfortably in a size 38 kurti. Coord set palazzos have a drawstring or elastic waist that fits a 4-6 inch range.
Saree Blouses
Saree blouses are designed to fit close to the body. Most Maatruu blouses are sold as unstitched material or in stitched ready sizes. Read each product description to confirm. Stitched blouses follow the chart above. Unstitched blouse pieces can be stitched to your exact measurements by a local tailor (about $15-25 in most US cities).
Sarees
The saree fabric itself does not have a size; it is one-size-fits-all at approximately 5.5 meters length and 1.1 meters width. The blouse piece that comes with the saree is what you size for. If you want a custom-fit blouse, take the unstitched blouse fabric to a local Indian tailor.
